(New) Story for the nation
Lecturare placuta!
(si nu va lasati indusi in eroare de titlul idilic)
DREAMS
by ME … (again)
On the corner of a busy street, two tramps were talking to each other. Suddenly, one of them said:
“Listen, have you ever wondered what your life would have been like if you hadn`t dropped ot of school?”
“Oh, yes!” the other one answered, “I thought about it for so many times …”
“Then what would you have liked to become?”
“Well, I have always wanted to be be a businessman.”
“What a coincidence, me too!” the first tramp exclaimed. “Who wouldn`t fancy a life like theirs, with money pouring into their pockets without moving a finger?”
“Indeed, it is the best job I can think of.” the second one said. “What a fool I`ve been! Had I studied hard when I was a child, I would have had nothing to worry about for the rest of my life.”
The conversation was interrupted when an expensive car stopped right in front of the two tramps. A tall, ellegant man got of it. He was talking loudly on his mobile phone and was gesticulating hysterically. As he was heading towards a block of flats, he became so irritated that he started to shout at his interlocutor while a vein on his forehead was pulsing quickly.
“Perhaps I omitted one little detail.” said the second tramp. “I never thought how stressful this job must be. Where is the peace and quiet in their lives? Now, if I give it a second thought, I wouldn`t give up being a tramp for anything in the world!”
